The Golden State Warriors are seeking immediate roster upgrades this offseason. They landed the number 7 and 14 picks in the 2021 NBA draft, giving them more assets to use should they pull off a trade.

According to John Hollinger of The Athletic, "there is a widespread expectation that the Warriors will use No. 7 and Wiseman, in particular, to seek more immediate upgrades to the roster. One name to watch: Pascal Siakam."

Wiseman, 20, had a solid rookie campaign before it was cut short by a season-ending injury. He averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds on nearly 52-percent shooting in 21.4 minutes per game.

With Klay Thompson returning from injury some time early next season, the Warriors may be ready to make another deep playoffs run, and it would be beneficiary for them to add established talent that would make an instant impact.

Pascal Siakam has developed into a versatile big man, who would be a suitable fit in Golden State's offense. With the Toronto Raptors falling into mediocrity, they may look to make major changes.

Wiseman would be a nice piece to build around for Toronto, in addition to the 7th pick, so a trade for Siakam sounds possible. The toughest part would be to make the deal work financially. Siakam is owed $33 million next year, while Wiseman will make only $9.1 million.

In any case, the Warriors don't seem interested in developing young talent. They want to have the best chance of winning another title while Stephen Curry is still playing at a high level.
