The Los Angeles Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard once again going into Game 2 against the Phoenix Suns.

Leonard reportedly suffered an ACL injury in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals and hasn't played a game since. The Clippers continue to update Leonard's status game-by-game, so they haven't ruled him out for the playoffs and haven't diagnosed the extent of his injury.

Chris Paul will also miss Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals with health and safety protocols.

While Leonard's status for the remainder of the series is unknown, Paul might make a return very soon since he has recovered from COVID-19. Paul's initial timetable was 2 weeks, but 7-10 days is also a plausible return time from protocols.

Nonetheless, both teams will be without their star players once more. Phoenix took Game 1 behind a 40-point triple-double from Devin Booker. We can expect another intensely close battle in Game 2.
